If you’ve ever strolled through Indian streets on a winter evening, you’ve likely been tempted by the smell of sizzling Aloo Tikki coming from a chaat stall. Crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful inside — this golden beauty is more than just a snack; it's a mood!

Today, we’re recreating that magical street-food experience right in your kitchen. The best part? You need just a few humble ingredients, and it’s super beginner-friendly!

🥔 Ingredients:

  • 4 medium-sized boiled potatoes
  • 1 tbsp cornflour or breadcrumbs (for crispiness)
  • 1 green chilli (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp dry mango powder (amchur)
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped coriander leaves
  • Oil for shallow frying

👩‍🍳 Method:

  1. Mash the boiled potatoes in a mixing bowl until smooth and lump-free.
  2. Add cornflour (or breadcrumbs), green chilli, ginger, and all the spices.
  3. Mix everything together to form a soft dough. Adjust salt and spices to taste.
  4. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into flat, round tikkis.
  5. Heat oil in a pan. Once hot, place the tikkis and shallow fry on medium heat until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.

🍽️ How to Serve (Adda-Style!):

Top your Aloo Tikki with green chutney, tamarind chutney, chopped onions, curd, and a sprinkle of sev to make a quick chaat!
